Wild Florida

Wild Florida showcases the state's remarkable native biodiversity, featuring red wolves, American alligators, Florida black bears, and native bird species in recreated wetland, scrub, and hammock habitats along the Indian River Lagoon.

The red wolf is one of the most endangered mammals on Earth, with fewer than 20 individuals remaining in the wild. Brevard Zoo participates in the Species Survival Plan to maintain a healthy captive population for future reintroduction.
