Wetlands Trail

The Wetlands Trail follows the journey of a drop of water from a Florida freshwater spring through cypress swamps and mangrove forests. Free-roaming birds, river otters, alligators, and native fish inhabit recreated wetland ecosystems that showcase Florida's freshwater biodiversity.

Florida's freshwater ecosystems are among the most biodiverse in North America but face increasing threats from development, pollution, and invasive species. The Florida Aquarium supports wetland restoration through education and field programs.
