Educational Information
Jungle Crocs houses some of the world's rarest crocodilian species, including Cuban crocodiles, Nile crocodiles, and Australian saltwater crocodiles in climate-controlled habitats. Several of these species are critically endangered in the wild.
Crocodilians have existed for over 200 million years, surviving multiple mass extinctions. Today, many species face threats from habitat destruction, hunting, and climate change. Gatorland's breeding programs contribute to the survival of several threatened species.
