Wetlands Discovery Center

The Wetlands Discovery Center explores the rich biodiversity of Central Florida's freshwater ecosystems, featuring American alligators, river otters, native turtles, and a diverse community of wading birds in recreated marsh and cypress swamp habitats.

Freshwater wetlands provide critical ecosystem services including flood control, water filtration, and wildlife habitat. Central Florida's wetlands are under increasing pressure from ongoing development.
