Shores and Aquarium

Shores & Aquarium houses the zoo's marine collection, including Florida manatees, bonnethead sharks, stingrays, and thousands of tropical fish in a 100,000-gallon coral reef display. The manatee exhibit is one of only a few in the country outside of Florida.

Columbus Zoo participates in the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service's manatee rescue and rehabilitation network, providing a permanent home for non-releasable manatees while educating millions of visitors about the threats facing this gentle species.
