Penguin Pavilion

The Penguin Pavilion houses a thriving colony of African penguins in a climate-controlled exhibit designed to replicate the rocky coastlines of southern Africa. Visitors can observe the penguins swimming, nesting, and socializing through large viewing windows.

African penguins are classified as Endangered, with wild populations declining by over 95% since the early 1900s due to habitat loss, overfishing, and oil spills. Mystic Aquarium participates in the AZA Species Survival Plan and supports field conservation in South Africa.
