Orca Encounter

Orca Encounter is SeaWorld San Diego's redesigned orca experience, focusing on the natural behaviors, intelligence, and conservation needs of killer whales. The presentation takes place at the iconic Orca Stadium with its massive 7-million-gallon habitat.

Orcas are apex predators found in every ocean on Earth, with distinct populations that differ in diet, behavior, and culture. Some populations, particularly the Southern Resident killer whales of the Pacific Northwest, are critically endangered due to declining salmon runs and ocean pollution.
