Educational Information
The Rainforest exhibit features white tigers in a tropical jungle setting alongside piranhas, poison dart frogs, and freshwater fish from the Amazon basin. The white tigers — a rare color variant of the Bengal tiger — are the facility's most popular terrestrial animals.
Tropical rainforests cover only 6% of Earth's surface but contain more than half of all plant and animal species. The exhibit educates visitors about the rapid destruction of these critical ecosystems and the endangered species that depend on them.
