Animal Encounter Zone

The Animal Encounter Zone offers hands-on interactive experiences with a variety of ambassador animals, from reptiles and small mammals to exotic birds. Trained educators guide visitors through up-close encounters that teach respect for wildlife and the importance of conservation.

Interactive animal programs have been shown to create stronger emotional connections and longer-lasting conservation awareness than passive viewing alone. The Encounter Zone uses this approach to inspire visitors — many of them Gulf Shores vacationers experiencing a zoo for the first time that trip.
