Asian Realm

The Asian Realm houses Bengal tigers and other species from the diverse ecosystems of the Asian continent. The tiger habitat features dense vegetation, a swimming pool, and elevated platforms that encourage natural predatory behaviors and provide enrichment for these powerful cats.

Bengal tigers are endangered, with approximately 3,000 remaining in the wild across India, Bangladesh, Nepal, and Bhutan. Habitat loss from human development and poaching for the illegal wildlife trade are the primary threats. Montgomery Zoo uses the Asian Realm to educate visitors about tiger conservation efforts.
