Wilds of Africa

Wilds of Africa is a 25-acre Africa-themed experience featuring seven distinct African ecosystems, from rainforest to desert. The exhibit is home to Western Lowland Gorillas, African wild dogs, lions, mandrills, and dozens of other African species in naturalistic environments.

Dallas Zoo is an internationally recognized leader in African wild dog conservation. Wild dog populations have declined to fewer than 7,000 individuals due to habitat fragmentation and disease.
