Stingray Bay

Stingray Bay is an interactive touch experience where visitors can gently touch and feed cownose and southern stingrays in a shallow saltwater pool. The exhibit provides hands-on connections with marine animals while teaching about ray biology and ocean conservation.

Stingrays are cartilaginous fish closely related to sharks, and they play important roles in marine ecosystems as both predators and prey. Their flattened bodies and wing-like pectoral fins are perfectly adapted for life on the ocean floor, where they use electroreception to detect prey hidden in the sand.
