Coral Reef

The Coral Reef exhibit showcases the vibrant biodiversity of tropical reef ecosystems with colorful fish, living corals, and invertebrates in a dazzling display. Interpretive panels explain the complex symbiotic relationships that sustain reef communities and the threats facing these underwater cities.

Coral reefs support over 25% of all marine species despite covering less than 1% of the ocean floor. Rising ocean temperatures, acidification, and pollution are causing mass bleaching events that have devastated reefs worldwide. The exhibit educates visitors about reef conservation and what individuals can do to help.
