Marsh Walk

The Marsh Walk is an outdoor boardwalk through a coastal salt marsh ecosystem adjacent to the aquarium, featuring interpretive stations about the vital ecological role of salt marshes. Visitors observe fiddler crabs, wading birds, and marine life in their natural habitat along the Crystal Coast.

Salt marshes are among the most productive ecosystems on Earth, serving as nursery habitat for commercially important fish and shellfish, filtering pollutants from runoff, and buffering coastal communities against storm surge. Despite their ecological value, salt marshes continue to be lost to development and sea-level rise.
