Reptile House

The Reptile House features snakes, lizards, turtles, and amphibians from around the world in temperature-controlled exhibits. The collection includes both native Southeastern species and exotic reptiles, with interpretive displays about reptile biology, evolution, and the ecological roles of cold-blooded animals.

Reptiles are among the most misunderstood animal groups, yet they play essential roles in ecosystems as predators, prey, and seed dispersers. Many reptile species are declining due to habitat loss, climate change, and persecution, making education and awareness critical for their conservation.
