ABQ BioPark is a combined biological park in Albuquerque, New Mexico, encompassing a zoo, aquarium, botanical garden, and Tingley Beach fishing lakes across 64 acres along the Rio Grande. The facility is one of the most unique zoological institutions in the Southwest, housing over 900 animals while also celebrating the cultural and ecological heritage of the Rio Grande valley.
The zoo features a diverse collection including polar bears, gorillas, Komodo dragons, and critically endangered Mexican gray wolves — one of the most important breeding programs in the country for this species. The aquarium traces the path of water from the mountains of New Mexico to the Gulf of Mexico.
ABQ BioPark holds both AZA accreditation and American Humane Certified status, reflecting its commitment to the highest standards of animal welfare and care.
