Outdoor Learning Lab

The Outdoor Learning Lab provides hands-on marine science experiences in an open-air setting. Visitors can participate in shell sorting activities, learn marine invertebrate identification, and explore the coastal ecology of Sanibel Island's unique barrier island ecosystem.

Sanibel Island is world-famous for its shelling beaches, where Gulf currents deposit an extraordinary variety of shells from the Caribbean and beyond.
