Great Bear Wilderness

Great Bear Wilderness is an immersive North American habitat featuring polar bears, grizzly bears, bison, and wolves in naturalistic environments designed to replicate the northern wilderness. The polar bear exhibit includes a deep-water swimming pool with underwater viewing.

Polar bears are classified as Vulnerable due to the rapid loss of Arctic sea ice from climate change. Brookfield Zoo supports polar bear conservation through the AZA Species Survival Plan and funds Arctic research programs.
