Disney’s Animal Kingdom is Walt Disney World’s 580-acre zoological theme park — the largest theme park in the world. It combines immersive themed entertainment with a genuine AZA-accredited zoo housing over 2,000 animals representing 300 species. Conservation is central to its mission through the Disney Conservation Fund.
The park’s signature experience is Kilimanjaro Safaris, a 110-acre African savanna where guests ride through herds of elephants, giraffes, lions, and rhinos. Themed lands include Africa, Asia, DinoLand U.S.A., and Pandora — The World of Avatar, each offering unique wildlife encounters alongside world-class attractions.
Disney’s Animal Kingdom is AZA accredited through March 2026. The Disney Conservation Fund has directed over $120 million to conservation programs worldwide since its founding in 1995.
