Downtown Aquarium Houston is a 500,000-gallon aquatic wonderland in the heart of downtown Houston, Texas. The facility combines marine exhibits with entertainment attractions including the Shark Voyage — a train ride that travels through a 200,000-gallon shark tank via an acrylic tunnel, one of the most unique aquarium experiences in the country.
Owned and operated by Landry’s Inc., the aquarium features themed exhibits spanning Louisiana swamps, Gulf of Mexico habitats, tropical rainforests, and sunken shipwrecks. The facility also houses white tigers and other terrestrial animals alongside its marine collection.
