Educational Information
Stingray Bay is an interactive touch pool where visitors can feed and gently touch cownose rays and southern stingrays in shallow saltwater. The exhibit also features small sharks and tropical fish native to the Gulf of Mexico.
Stingrays are closely related to sharks, sharing a skeleton made of cartilage rather than bone. These graceful animals play important roles in marine ecosystems as both predators and prey.
