Hattiesburg Zoo

Hattiesburg Zoo is a 12-acre zoo in Kamper Park in Hattiesburg, Mississippi — the only zoo in Mississippi to hold AZA accreditation. Despite its compact size, the zoo punches well above its weight with high-quality exhibits including the Asbury Discovery Center, a popular sloth encounter program, and a giraffe feeding station that draws visitors from across the state.

The zoo features animals from South America, Africa, and North America, with a focus on species that thrive in the warm, humid climate of southern Mississippi. A miniature train ride, high ropes adventure course, and splash pad round out the family experience.
