Lion Country Safari is Florida’s first and only drive-through safari and cageless zoo, spanning over 600 acres in Loxahatchee. Guests drive their own vehicles through 4 miles of free-roaming African wildlife, passing among lions, giraffes, white rhinos, zebras, and chimpanzees in open habitats without barriers.
Opened in 1967, Lion Country Safari was a pioneer in the drive-through safari concept in America. The park also features Safari World, a walk-through amusement and animal encounter area with rides, a giraffe feeding station, and educational programs.
Lion Country Safari is AZA accredited through March 2027 and houses over 900 animals representing dozens of African and Asian species. It participates in multiple AZA Species Survival Plans.
