African Plains Drive-Through

The African Plains section features free-roaming herds of giraffes, zebras, ostriches, eland, and water buffalo along a winding drive. Guests can observe natural herd dynamics and grazing behavior from their vehicles as animals wander alongside and sometimes directly in front of cars.

This open-range format provides animals with some of the most spacious habitats in any North American zoo, allowing for natural social groups and unrestricted movement.
