Rainforest of the Americas recreates the multilayered canopy of a tropical rainforest, housing jaguars, giant anteaters, tapirs, and a spectacular diversity of tropical birds in a lush, climate-controlled indoor habitat.

The Amazon rainforest is the world's most biodiverse ecosystem and a critical global carbon sink. The LA Zoo supports Amazon conservation through partnerships with field researchers and indigenous communities.
