Montgomery Zoo is a 40-acre zoological park in the capital city of Alabama, home to over 500 animals representing species from five continents. Part of the city’s parks system, the zoo is paired with the Mann Wildlife Learning Museum, which features one of the finest natural history diorama collections in the Southeast.

The zoo features themed geographic regions showcasing African, Asian, Australian, South American, and North American wildlife. A miniature train circles the zoo grounds, and the Overlook Café provides elevated views of several animal habitats. The zoo’s compact layout makes it particularly accessible for families with young children.

Montgomery Zoo holds ZAA accreditation and plays an important role in wildlife education for central Alabama.
