The aquarium’s centerpiece is a 235,000-gallon saltwater tank featuring sharks, sea turtles, and rays in a recreation of a living shipwreck ecosystem found off the North Carolina coast.

Located near the mouth of the Cape Fear River, the aquarium highlights the diverse marine and freshwater habitats of southeastern North Carolina, from mountain headwaters to the open Atlantic. Interactive touch tanks, live dive shows, and behind-the-scenes tours enhance the visitor experience.
