Educational Information

The Asian Forest features Amur tigers, Komodo dragons, and snow leopards in spacious habitats designed to replicate the diverse environments of the Asian continent. The tiger exhibit includes dense vegetation, rocky terrain, and a large swimming pool.

Amur tigers are among the most endangered big cats, with fewer than 500 remaining in the wild. Pittsburgh Zoo's conservation breeding program at the International Conservation Center has successfully bred tigers and other endangered Asian species for decades.
