Lory Landing Aviary

Lory Landing is a free-flight aviary where brilliantly colored lory parrots and lorikeets land directly on visitors who purchase nectar cups to feed them. Flamingos, scarlet ibis, and other tropical birds inhabit the surrounding landscaped grounds throughout the day.

Lories and lorikeets are among the most specialized of all parrots, with brush-tipped tongues adapted for nectar feeding. Many of their closest wild relatives face serious threats from deforestation and the illegal pet trade.
