The Florida Aquarium is a 250,000 square foot aquarium in Tampa focused on Florida’s aquatic ecosystems from freshwater springs to the open ocean. The aquarium is a leader in coral reef restoration, partnering with NOAA to restore Florida’s Coral Reef — the only living barrier reef in the continental United States.

The aquarium has rescued and rehabilitated hundreds of sea turtles through its Sea Turtle Conservation Program and conducts cutting-edge research on coral propagation, marine disease, and native fish populations. Its exhibits trace a drop of water from its origins in a Florida wetland through rivers, shorelines, and out to the deep sea.

The Florida Aquarium is AZA accredited through March 2030 and is recognized as one of the top aquariums in the United States.
