Scaly Slimy Spectacular is a state-of-the-art reptile and amphibian complex housing Komodo dragons, giant tortoises, venomous snakes, and dozens of frog and salamander species. The facility features climate-controlled habitats that range from arid desert to tropical rainforest, showcasing the extraordinary diversity of cold-blooded animals.

Komodo dragons are the world's largest living lizards, found only on a few Indonesian islands. Amphibian species worldwide are experiencing catastrophic declines from chytrid fungus, habitat loss, and climate change — a crisis often called the 'amphibian extinction.' This exhibit raises awareness about these underappreciated animals.
