Zoo Knoxville is a 53-acre zoological park in East Tennessee, home to more than 900 animals representing over 100 species. The zoo is internationally recognized for hosting one of the most successful red panda breeding programs in North America, having produced more than 100 red panda cubs since the program began.

Founded in 1948, Zoo Knoxville has grown into a respected conservation institution with strengths in African megafauna, Asian cats, and its signature red panda program. The Boyd Family Red Panda Village is among the finest red panda exhibits in the country, while Grasslands Africa showcases elephants, giraffes, and other savanna species.

Zoo Knoxville holds AZA accreditation and serves as a gateway to wildlife appreciation for residents of the Great Smoky Mountains region.
