Amazon and Beyond is a six-acre tropical habitat showcasing the extraordinary biodiversity of South American rainforests. Giant river otters, tapirs, jaguars, and dozens of bird species inhabit lush, recreated Amazonian environments designed to encourage natural behavior.

The Amazon basin faces unprecedented deforestation, with millions of acres lost annually. Zoo Miami's conservation programs support on-the-ground research and protection efforts in Peru and Brazil.
